To Brothers and Sisters all
I’m about to make my plea,
You have made your homes so clean
But have you thought of me?
I have served you day and night.
I have been always in my place,
And you’ve only to look up and see
That you have not even washed my face.
Our church has been thoroughly cleaned,
With the organ again in its place.
The choir with their fine new clothes
But you have never washed my face.
Now Brothers and Sisters all
Whatever your creed may be
I am here to serve you all,
So please spare a little for me.
